SCREENPLAY SHOWCASE
Tasha is currently working on the feature screenplay, MARIGOLD SOLDIER. The story about Cora Marigold, who after a troubling childhood, reconnects with her eccentric Veteran father, John Mariogld, and finds he has dedicated himself to perfecting a rare yogic breathing technique that will end his life. As Cora struggles to stop him she finds her entire world turned upside down.
JOHN
What it is exactly that you want from me?
CORA
I don't know! I just want you to be
my father for once!
JOHN
I am your father...
The story is loosely based on the writings and paintings of Tasha's father, John E. Nesbitt III who served as a Special Forces, Green Beret in Vietnam. John was trained at Delta Project, Detachment B-52, Nha Trang. He was the first Afro-American reconnaissance Advisor at the MAC-V Recondo School.
